WATCH: Director of Programs Santhosh Daniel on Film Funding and the Future of Indian Cinema

The San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF), the nation’s largest showcase for new Asian American and Asian films, is presented each year by the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM)–-our neighbors upstairs at the Ninth Street Independent Film Center!

This year, GFI’s Director of Programs Santhosh Daniel will be a panelist at the SFIAAFF‘s panel discussion, “Stepping Forward, Looking Back: Taking Stock of the Nature, Business and Future of Indian Cinema” taking place on Saturday, March 12th at the Sundance Kabuki Cinema in San Francisco. In preparation for the event, Santhosh sat down with the folks at CAAM to give some exclusive insight into his thoughts on Indian cinema and offer advice to aspiring filmmakers.
