Attention all filmmakers! Ready your printers and prepare your most colorful stamps: GFI is currently accepting applications to our Summer 2012 granting cycle (view our Call for Applications here)!

We’ve been granting films for ten years now, and have seen a great deal of game-changing independent films from all over the world, including East Timor’s first locally produced and directed narrative feature film and the Ugandan adaptation of the classic Italian feature, The Bicycle Thieves. We’re as excited as ever to see what new projects filmmakers have in store—will your film be the next GFI grant recipient?

Well, don’t delay: There is just a little more than a month left before our July 16 deadline, so submit your project today!

About the Granting Program

The Granting Program awards fifteen to twenty grants of up to $10,000 each, annually, to filmmakers whose works offer diverse interpretations of the human experience. Funds are used to subsidize production or post-production costs of films, and in making these grants, the Initiative supports the development of local film industries and filmmaking talent.
